Well as you know most sites put up ads and have links to other sites; to check out their latest product or sell you some other sort of ware. Well, this got me thinking about Twitter, i personally do not have a Twitter account and it was mainly because i did not understand what it was, now I know. Twitter is a money making machine, do you want to know why...read on.

Unlike face book or myspace, who generate revenue from selling ad space on their site which generates traffic for other sites. Twitter may actually share your personal information with third parties. Don't believe me huh, well I am not sure about everyone else, but I sometimes read the privacy policy before I sign up for any site on the net. This is straight off the Twitter web site.

Service Providers/ We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to us, including, without limitation, hosting and maintenance, customer relationship, database storage and management, and direct marketing campaigns. We will share your personally identifiable information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and provide such services, and only pursuant to binding contractual obligations requiring such third parties to maintain the privacy and security of your data.

Twitter Privacy

I figure I should let those of you who ask me, "why I have not signed up for a Twitter account?", know what they are actually doing by having a Twitter account. Still don't want to cancel your Twitter account after reading that last piece of information, well here is a little more info for ya.

Compliance with Laws and Law Enforcement/ Twitter cooperates with government and law enforcement officials or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. We may disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as we, in our sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Twitter or a third party, the safety of the public or any person, to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity, or to comply with the law.

Still with me?...This is also in the privacy statement. So say, after the phils lose a game you happen to twitter that you want to kill a certain member of the other team. Can this be used as evidence of conspiracy or malice?

Malice

–noun 1. desire to inflict injury, harm, or suffering on another, either because of a hostile impulse or out of deep-seated meanness: the malice and spite of a lifelong enemy.

Conspiracy

Law. an agreement by two or more persons to commit a crime, fraud, or other wrongful act.

Just as an Example...Want to hear more...

Business Transfers/ Twitter may sell, transfer or otherwise share some or all of its assets, including your personally identifiable information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets or in the event of bankruptcy. You will have the opportunity to opt out of any such transfer if the new entity's planned processing of your information differs materially from that set forth in this Privacy Policy.

Okay, little scenario okay so if a year down the road twitter sells to a large media group or something. Does said, "large media group" then get all your information?

Unless you missed your opportunity to opt out...

Stats on Twitter currently:

Stats

THE FACEBOOK/MYSPACE DEBATE

A couple people have talked to me saying well facebook and myspace do the same thing. No they do not, sites like Facebook and Myspace rely on outside advertisers for a part of thier revenue. Take alook at the differance in the privacy policies.

FACEBOOK

Facebook may use information in your profile without identifying you as an individual to third parties. We do this for purposes such as aggregating how many people in a network like a band or movie and personalizing advertisements and promotions so that we can provide you Facebook. We believe this benefits you. You can know more about the world around you and, where there are advertisements, they're more likely to be interesting to you. For example, if you put a favorite movie in your profile, we might serve you an advertisement highlighting a screening of a similar one in your town. But we don't tell the movie company who you are.

This is the short version...check the link for the full privacy policy.

FACEBOOK PRIVACY POLICY

MYSPACE

MySpace will only use the PII you provide under this Privacy Policy in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy. If MySpace obtains PII from a third party, such as a business partner, our use of that information is also governed by this Privacy Policy.

In order to locate other MySpace Members that you may already know in the physical world, MySpace allows Users to search for Members using Registration PII (i.e., full name or email address). MySpace also allows Users to browse for certain Profile Information in order to help connect with Members (i.e., schools and/or companies where Users may have attended or worked). MySpace may also enable Members to publicly display some Registration PII as an element of their Profile Information if they choose to do so via a profile setting under “Edit Profile.” Search engines may index the portion of a Member’s profile (including the Profile Information it contains) that is publicly displayed.

If you have consented to receive promotional materials (e.g., newsletters) or notifications from MySpace, MySpace may periodically use your email address to send you such materials related to the MySpace Services, as applicable. If you want to stop receiving such materials from MySpace, you can change your profile settings under “Account Settings,” or follow the unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.

MySpace employees, agents and contractors must have a business reason to obtain access to your PII. MySpace may share your PII with those who help us manage or provide MySpace Services’ information activities (for example, message board administration, order fulfillment, statistical analyses, data processing), or with outside contractors, agents or sponsors who help us with the administration, judging and prize fulfillment aspects of contests, promotions and sweepstakes.

These outside contractors, agents or sponsors may temporarily store some information on their servers, but they may only use your PII to provide MySpace with a specific service and not for any other purpose. MySpace may also provide your PII to a third party in those instances where you have chosen to receive certain information and have been notified that the fulfillment of such a request requires the sharing of your PII. MySpace also may share your PII with Affiliated Companies if it has a business reason to do so.

MYSPACE PRIVACY POLICY

And now... Twitter

Service Providers We engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to us, including, without limitation, hosting and maintenance, customer relationship, database storage and management, and direct marketing campaigns. For more than 40 years, the NASA Innovative Partnerships Program has facilitated the transfer of NASA technology to the private sector, benefiting global competition and the economy. The resulting commercialization has contributed to the development of commercial products and services in the fields of health and medicine, industry, consumer goods, transportation, public safety, computer technology, and environmental resources. Since 1976, Spinoff has featured between 40 and 50 of these commercial products annually. Spinoff maintains a searchable database of every technology published since its inception. Flowdan, Killa P

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Jeff Beck - Jeff

Yes, I am a little behind sometimes, but hell there is alot of music to listen to out there. Jeff Beck has been performing since the late 70's with the Jeff Beck band w/ Rod Stewart. Anyway, having just been introduced to this amazing guitarist, a couple of months ago, it wasn't till recently I actually sat down and listened to these albums. These are tracks off his 2003 release, his last studio album, he has released some live stuff since. Sit back, relax and enjoy.

So What
Hot Rod Honeymoon
JB's Blues

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Lightning Bolt

I do dig this band, I am not going to lie it took me a couple tries to understand where these guys were coming from. Not for everyone, very heavy guitar and sloppy drum solos, but the noise created is pretty stellar. Their touring history with bands such as Melt Banana and the Locust, may give you an impression of this bands sound. I would suggest starting off with Bizarro Zarro Land, and go from there.

Bizarro Zarro Land
2 Morro Morro Land
Birdy

_____________________________________________________________________________________

Medeski, Martin and Wood - Shack Man

Just what I thought, you wanted to hear some improv groove based jazz, me too. I picked one of their earlier albums, because it was the album I spent the most time with and enjoyed thoroughly. M,M & W, just recently finished an album with John Scofield, who I will now have to add to next weeks comp., so if you like this check out that album too. These song pretty much speak for themselves, curl up in a comfortable place and play these three tracks, but please get the whole album if you really enjoy it.

Strance of the Red Gator
Bubblehouse
Spy Kiss

____________________________________________________________________________________

Add N to (X)

To start this off I will let you know that this is a Post-Rock/Experimental band. I would suggest listing to "Steve's going to teach himself who's boss" to get a feel for the type of music. I found this band very interesting because they only use vintage synth and the proto-electronica devices crafted in the 1960s and '70s. This album came out in 1999, it took me a few albums to really fall in love with this one. I would ask you to stick with this album give it a couple of different chances while you are in different moods, it should fit one of them.

Robot New York
Steve's Going to Teach Himself Who is Boss
Fyuz

____________________________________________________________________________________

That is all for this week, I hope that you are enjoying these, please give me some feedback on these if you could. Likes, dislikes, reasons why?. also feel free to comment on the format of this blog.

Without further delay here is the sendspace link.

New to Me Vol. 3
http://www.sendspace.com/file/qppxm9

Have a wonderful day, and tell your friends.

The Native

Gemini Rising

So I may have posted something about this months ago, but our good friends over at Fugue Films have fianlly realeased a new episode of the internet sensation Gemini Rising.

This is a short Promo video for the first few episodes.

Check out the newest episode Sister Jean.

<embed width='425' height='342' flashvars="height=342&width=609&flv=http://video002.koldcast.tv/video/geminirising/geminirising_ep6_sisterjean_FL8_1000_640x360.flv&backcolor=0x006666&title=Sister Jean - Listen to Crunked Up; the beats are really solid. Sorry to those who do not enjoy electronica. This English dubstepper is well worth a listen.

1. Crunked Up
2. E Trips
3. Go Tell Them

D.O.C - No One Can do It Better

This is a throw back, because I am currently looking into old school hip hop. These are from DOC's debut album, produced by Dr. Dre. Due to a car accident he next album was not put out till 7 years later, but enjoy this young rapper from Texas first album.

1. Lend Me an Ear
2. Beautiful but Deadly
3. Portrait of a Masterpiece

Last Shadow Puppets - Age of Understatement

Once again this just appeared on my computer, this is a team up between Artic Monkeys and the Little Flames, inspired by Scott Walker and David Bowie. When I heard the first song I knew I was in for something good, a little different from the rest of the stuff on this comp. but awesome nonetheless. Enjoy.

1. Seperate and Even Deadly
2. Calm like You
3. Only the Truth

Lee "Scratch" Perry - Repentance

For those of you who are not familiar with dub, Perry is a master of the form. I got this album months ago, when I found out Andrew W.K. was producing this album, thought it was a great collaboration. The sound that is established is classic dub beat with a little electronica, which for me is an excellent progression of music. Give it a listen not for everyone. Also if you are interested in Lee Perry, get the album Super Ape, it will change your life. Also the song Santa Claus is based off of AWK club of the same name in NY.

1. Shine
2. War Dance
3. Santa Claus

Ratatat - FL3

Wasn't sure waht to expect from this album, but when it came on I was surrounded by wonderful beats that rode out the entire album. I enjoyed listening to this very much.

1. Falcon Job
2. Mirando
3. Gipsy Threat

Shystie - Diamond in the Dirt

This British female rapper, can spit like no one else I have ever heard, her beats are sometimes something to be desired. Take a listen to some tracks, this is off of her debut album from a couple of years ago. Also, if anyone has any suggestions on Hip Hop battles please comment. Can't get enough Shystie, listen to Lady Sovereign album Vertically Challenged she makes an appearance.

1. One Wish
2. Questions
3. Step Bac

Kool Keith - Return of Dr. Octagon

This is on here because he in coming on April 4th and want to get some people interested. I love most of this album there are some songs that don't quite make this a great album but I enjoy these three songs. quick story, "I was blasting this while stuck in traffic, I look to my left and the BF and GF where bumming to the the sounds coming out of my car. Stuck for about 20 mins we listened to just about the whole albums exchanged info and went on our ways." Anyways, enjoy I am trying to go to the show at Johnny Brenda's let me know.

1. Aliens
2. Trees
3. Perfect World

Ann Beretta - New Union...Old Glory

Asking who this is, well I figured punk had made almost no appearance on any of these comps. so I picked Ann Beretta, a band from Richmond VA. I would describe these guy as some what of a punk revival, but not quite badass. I enjoy thier tunes I hope you will to. Also if anyone has some new punk bands I should be listening to please pass them along.

1. Better Days
2. Nowhere Generation
3. Latchkey World

Click the link to get the comp.:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/rdkjgg

New to Me Vol.1.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 146px; height: 200px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MUt_0GQDX10/SagnfaSoDkI/AAAAAAAAAFo/-_b-geX01-g/s200/kevin+2_26.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5307535581443001922" />
So I have deceided to create a weekly CD comp for everyones listening pleasure. This video was an eye opening experience back in the day. This must have been on TRL every day for the max. amount of time, due two a couple of things. First Mariah is smokin' in the video, second Eddie Griffin with Johnny B. who would have done that, o yeah Mariah cause she is on fihya.

Mariah Carey - Honey

Alright so I found this video today, it is pretty amazing, it is simple flash animation with a nice melodic song behind it. The story is amazing a bunch of demons try to attack vikings, so after a perfect description of an event staff, they Battle. Robot time...Watch and learn, cause knowledge is power.

Jason Forrest: "War Photographer"

This is probably one of the best things to enter my ocular cavities is a little while, yeah that is all there is to say about this video.

David Lee Roth - Just a Gigolo

I am pretty sure the first thing on my mind after I woke up was Matt Pinfield, you know the only VJ on MTV (other than Kurt Loader) who knew anything about music. He use to host a show called 120 minutes. Well you should get used to it, Philadelphia has hired unisys to install 250 camera throughout the city. These cameras are being placed on high crime corners throughout the city, there were 12 test camera launched in 2007. You may have noticed it on the corner of Broad and Erie.

"The cameras will capture images and send them via a secure wide area network to the city’s central monitoring facility staffed and managed by city personnel. An online storage system will maintain those images for forensic evaluation." .unisys.com November 19, 2007

Personally, they said this was announced last October or November but no one in Philadelphia seemed to know. Some people know me other do not, but each week i have a ton of odd magazines that come to my house. I recieved one that was called Government Video, talks about advancement in government technology, but real big on the cover was Philadelphia Under Surveillance. Here is a link to the article.

*Side note about video recording in the streets of Philly

Local Hardcore Punk band Paint it Black Played outside of Sailor Jerry's, for the world priemere of the doc about him. By shocking the lake, therefore paralyzing the fish.

The Northern Snakehead fish, or ‘walking fish’, is a native of China that has been banned since it was imported to the United States because of it’s predator behavior. These fish are extremely aggressive, and even worse, a serious threat to area fish of all kinds. The Northern Snakehead fish has been discovered in local ponds and lakes, which is not good news. But.. did we mention they can walk? You won’t see them strolling along the riverbank, but instead slithering and springing. Creepy, right? They can go days without water, so once they finish eating fish from one pond they can saunter over to another pond. Experts fear that these fish will make it to the Delaware River and hit up other waterways, making this a big deal. To make matters worse, these fish are ugly, really really ugly.

Philadelphia’s Academy of Natural Science is making an effort to stop this demon fish before it’s too late. They have been conducting fish surveys in lakes and ponds of FDR Park, using electric shock to temporarily paralyze the fish for a couple minutes, count the different types of fish and then release them. Which has to be the coolest thing to see a pond full of fish be paralyzed and then snap back to life. Where can I find myself a fish-pond-shocker? So far an increasing amount of snakeheads have been discovered, and the scientists have yet to finish the shocking.

Here is the NBC10 video they they did on this shocking story...Snakehead Video

Catch it, Kill it.

365 Party Excuses

So I have a collection of old bartending books, started paging through them this morning, this is what I found:

365 Party Excuses

*Highlights
Jan 7th - Birthday of Millard Fillmore
March 3rd - Anniversary of Child Labor Law
April 9th - Tommy Manville's Birthday
June 16th - Convention of the International
brotherhood of Magicians
July 20th - Anniversary of the Nat'l
Shuffleboard Championship
August 6th - Deadwood Day
September 1st - Beginning of Oyster Season

Read on for more, feel free to repost. Few things in nature can equal their delicate beauty. Come celebrate it with us! For two exciting weeks, all of Philadelphia is in full bloom for Sakura Matsuri - the Cherry Blossom Festival.

The Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival of Greater Philadelphia, or Sakura Matsuri as it is known in Japanese, is an initiative to encourage a better understanding of the cultural, social, and educational customs of Japan and the United States. Japan has been celebrating the beauty of the elegant pink cherry blossom for hundreds of years with picnics under the trees accompanied by traditional music and dance. The Festival also seeks to beautify the Philadelphia landscape by annually planting and maintaining 100 cherry trees in Fairmount Park. In the spring of 2007, the JASGP finished planting 1,000 cherry trees to supplement the 1,600 flowering trees donated by Japanese government as a gesture of friendship in 1926.

The 2008 Subaru Cherry Blossom Festival will take place from Saturday, April 5 to Saturday, April 19 -- be part of a centuries-old tradition as we bring together the best in Japanese art, cuisine, dance, fashion, flowers, music and much more.

Dozo, oide kudasai! We look forward to seeing you.

Program Highlights:

Philly Native: Subaru Cherry Blossum Festival, In the Philadelphia Area!

New Blog Site

A couple of people have recently commented that this really enjoy reading my blog, so I am going to expand. In a way bringing back an online neighborhood watch, which in this day and age is an easy thing to do. Here you go:

*I am only going to post the first to eps. if you want more check for woodshopfilms on youtube*

Hope you enjoyed them as much as I did.

And its the Nail in the Coffin

Alright I was talking with a friend of mine how i get frustrated when good blogs do not post anything for a week or so. Yeah i understand blogging can be a full time job sometimes, but remember when you read about something like this you need to post.

Phillies Gear Out of Hand?

As I wake up from my sleep each morning I like to read a little news, so this morning i decided to read a Philadelphia based publication and learn more about the arts and culture happening in Philadelphia. But to my surprise it was not in the culture or arts (well i guess it is art) section, but the sports page. Yes I follow some sport but not as hardcore as some people i know.

*Announcement, I will be in FDR park on opening day*

Back to the news at hand, I was reading about this "Michigan based company has a licensing agreement with Major League Baseball to provide team themed caskets and urns, and the Philllies are among the first team products to be offered." Amazing, i think so. Why? Because I know Phillies fans will be knocking down the doors at this place to get one.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MUt_0GQDX10/R-kBAJO5_RI/AAAAAAAAABU/Mi-gRI0rtFE/s320/mlb_philsurn.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181673948256533778" />

We have people buying our baseball urns that are still in their 30s and just think its cool and they want it in their home because they want it to be the urn they go into.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_MUt_0GQDX10/R-kBAJO5_SI/AAAAAAAAABc/mNLXjVmvkHE/s320/mlb_philliescasket.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181673948256533794" />

Currently 13 team urns are available, including the Atlanta Braves, Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Cleveland Indians, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants, and St. Louis Cardinals.

After being in awe I decided that I have to look deeper into the commericalization of death business, so i checked out their site. www.eternalimage.com. The entombment devices they are selling, urns and caskets are not all that pricey. The urn goes for $799 and the casket sells for $4,499, I am guessing this is reasonably priced for a casket. Wait there is more, not a fan of baseball.

They have many different styles available, Vatican, Precious Moments, Dog Kennel, Cat Fanciers, and my personal favorite Star Trek. Each offers one urn and and coffin, for around the same price.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_MUt_0GQDX10/R-kDfZO5_WI/AAAAAAAAAB8/nE5gI_UeJEM/s320/st_casket.gif" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5181676684150701410" />

No Sex with Koala's you will get the Clap

So I was surfing Youtube and saw this video of this baby Koala being feed, then I saw it a Rare white Koala.

Yeah the White Koala was pretty cool, but the commentary at the end of they video was so amazing I had to post it.

Remember always wear a raincoat.

We are Japan...

So This is probably the greatest idea for a show ever. Alvin takes a hit and his voice goes from his usual delightfully high pitched voice to a booming deep voice, made me chuckle pretty hard. Where am I going with this you say, well the very next day I was on set with a large canister of Helium and we got into a discussion about the rising cost of Helium. It was stated that this increase in price is due to the fact that we are running out of Helium, and that within our lifetime we would run out of precious Helium; this called for an investigation.

After many hours of online research and government findings, and probably one too many cups of espresso, I present to you the Helium report.

Helium (He) is a colorless, odorless, tasteless, non-toxic gas and is one of seven noble gases; the others being neon, argon, krypton, xenon, radon and ununoctium. Helium is the second element on the Periodic table of elements, due to its atomic number. The atomic number, also known as the proton number, has to do with the number of protons found in the nucleus of an Atom. (Sorry if this is getting to scientific.) Helium also has the lowest boiling and melting point amoung all of the elements, and it is most commonly found as a gas except in extreme conditions. Helium is the second most abundant element in the known Universe after hydrogen and constitutes twenty three percent of the elemental mass of the universe.

Helium was first detected by French astronomer Pierre Jassen, on August 18th 1868, during a solar eclipse. It was spotted as a bright yellow line in the chromospheres of the sun, later that year scientist Norman Lockyer theorized that there is an element that is found on the sun that is not found here one earth; thus naming the element Helios the Greek word for the Sun. (For those of you who do not know, all colors coincide with a numerical value, which is measured in nanometers. Sorry I sometimes study wavelengths to know which sort of color correction gel I need to put over a light fixture, to make it match. Yes there is a certain science to filmmaking.) Later in 1903, a Kansas state geologist by the name of Erasmus Haworth, stumbled upon a gas while conducting a routine oil drilling operation. Haworth found that the gas was non-flamable, after further investigation found that helium was present in vast quanties under the American Great Plains. Haworth’s discovery now made the United States the world’s leading supplier of Helium.

Helium has many remarkable properties, it is smaller than any other element and it is the second lightest gas known to man; it is also known for its very stable and symmetrical structure. Due to these properties Helium has many uses. It is an ideal lifting gas, as everyone knows what kind of party would be complete without some balloons. Helium unlike Hydrogen, is non-flammable, so it has many uses in the field of aerial transport. Helium is also has a high thermal conductivity rating, therefore it is able to be used in the heat treatment of optical fibers, with little or no imperfections. On the other end of the spectrum, due to Helium’s low liquefaction temperature it makes it ideal for, rocket propulsion systems, cryogenics and the cooling of superconductors; namely MRI machines. Due to its sable nature, humans have found many uses for Helium in the scientific field, and not to mention birthday parties. So what’s the problem?

Helium in a non-renewable resource,

“Nearly all helium on Earth is a result of radioactive decay. The decay product is primarily found in minerals of uranium and thorium, including cleveites, pitchblende, carnotite and monazite, because they emit alpha particles, which consist of helium nuclei (He2+) to which electrons readily combine. In this way an estimated 3.4 litres of helium per year are generated per cubic kilometer of the Earth's crust. In the Earth's crust, the concentration of helium is 8 parts per billion. In seawater, the concentration is only 4 parts per trillion. There are also small amounts in mineral springs, volcanic gas, and meteoric iron. The greatest concentrations on the planet are in natural gas, from which most commercial helium is derived.”

According to Lee Sobotka, the world’s helium supply may be in danger. Check out the link below for the full article.

Helium supplies endangered, threatening science and technology

Why Your Voices Gets Higher With Helium Gas.

When a series compression waves (your voice) leave the helium in your lungs and hit the denser air, the wave train is suddenly slowed down. The wave in front is slowed first while the wave behind it is still moving fast. Then the second wave is slowed while the third is still moving fast, and so on. It's like fast moving traffic on an open freeway suddenly coming to a slow point in the road, all the cars bunch up close to each other.

Your ear interprets closely bunched sound waves as a higher pitch than widely spaced waves. So when your voice originates in helium and then travels through the air to someone's ear, it sounds higher. If both you and the listener were in a room filled with helium, your voice would get to their ears faster than normal, but there would be no pitch change.

Zombies on The Vegas Strip

Check out this video:

(For those of us who paid money to see Diary of the Dead, I find myself much more satisfied watching this video)

& However, the new episode Reedickyoulus was amazing I am posting a link below to watch the second half of the episode on line.

5 words: Gay Ape Zombie Party Bus

Synopsis: Shake pops Meatwad's kitten in the microwave causing Meatwad to retaliate by doing the same thing to Shake's kitten. The pets are buried in the yard, which is exactly where Carl has been taking bathroom trips of a nuclear variety. A glowing crotch and radioactive feces just happen to be two of the side effects of his new sex machine, "Reedickyoulus." Once the radiation seeps into the ground, it reanimates all of the Aqua Teen's dead pets into a zombie army led by a gay ape who wants to have sex with Shake. As you can guess, the prospect of free sex with anyone, zombie or not, is too much for Shake to turn down. As a result, Frylock and Meatwad have to cut off Shake's decomposing head and send him away on the zombie party bus into the sunset.

http://www.adultswim.com/video/?episodeID=8a25c39217f359ab0117f47a358d0008

watch it and be amazed!

What should I do with my Old Car?

Alright so it seems everyone has a different idea as to what i should do with my old car.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with my car it is a beautiful 1989 Plymouth Reliant K. This beast has kept me on the road for three years with very few problems, survived two accidents and not a thing had to be repaired. Not bad for a free car huh.

So a couple of people want me to take it to a demolishion derby, others want me to do fun things with the car. I will leave it up to you to help me figure out what to do with my old ride.

MJ wants me to turn it into a Redneck Roller Coaster. So this is a little bit of what I found out about the current exploration of space.

A Closer Look at the Previously Unseen Side 01.28.08

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_MUt_0GQDX10/R6HcLJOUk4I/AAAAAAAAAAY/-1lTguNYeF8/s320/209513main1_closer_unseen_350.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5161648731955958658" />

Two weeks ago, on January 14, 2008, MESSENGER became the first spacecraft to see the side of Mercury shown in this image. The first image transmitted back to Earth following the flyby of Mercury, and then released to the web within hours, shows the historic first look at the previously unseen side. This image, taken by the Wide Angle Camera (WAC) of the Mercury Dual Imaging System (MDIS), shows a closer view of much of that territory.

Just above and to the left of center of this image is a small crater with a pronounced set of bright rays extending across Mercury's surface away from the crater. Bright rays are commonly made in a crater-forming explosion when an asteroid strikes the surface of an airless body like the Moon or Mercury. But rays fade with time as tiny meteoroids and particles from the solar wind strike the surface and darken the rays. The prominence of these rays implies that the small crater at the center of the ray pattern formed comparatively recently.

This image is one in a planned set of 99. Nine different views of Mercury were snapped in this set to create a mosaic pattern with images in 3 rows and 3 columns. The WAC is equipped with 11 narrow-band color filters, and each of the 9 different views was acquired through all 11 filters. This image was taken in filter 7, which is sensitive to light near the red end of the visible spectrum (750 nm), and shows features as small as about 6 kilometers (4 miles) in size. The MESSENGER team is studying this previously unseen side of Mercury in detail to map and identify new geologic features and to construct the planets geological history. Mission Elapsed Time (MET) of image: 108827618

That was pretty neat, the network news is refering to this photo as the "spider".

Next...I have been following this Cassaini-Huygens Project since before the launch in 1997.

New Update

The Cassini spacecraft successfully flew by Titan on Jan. 5. Its visual and infrared mapping spectrometer mapped the Huygens probe's landing site, now in direct sunlight. The flyby featured two separate stellar occultations to study the structure of Titan's atmosphere. New Horizons

NASA's Pluto Mission Launched Toward New Horizons

The first mission to distant planet Pluto is under way after the successful launch today of NASA's New Horizons spacecraft from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Fla.

"Today, NASA began an unprecedented journey of exploration to the ninth planet in the solar system," says Dr. Colleen Hartman, Deputy Associate Administrator for NASA's Science Mission Directorate, Washington, D.C. "Right now, what we know about Pluto could be written on the back of a postage stamp. After this mission, we'll be able to fill textbooks with new information."

The 1,054-pound, piano-sized spacecraft is the fastest ever launched, speeding away from Earth at approximately 36,000 miles per hour, on a trajectory that will take it more than 3 billion miles toward its primary science target. New Horizons will zip past Jupiter for a gravity assist and science studies in February 2007, and conduct the first close-up, in-depth study of Pluto and its moons in summer 2015. As part of a potential extended mission, the spacecraft would then examine one or more additional objects in the Kuiper Belt, the region of ancient, icy, rocky bodies (including Pluto) far beyond Neptune's orbit.

So far...

The voyage of NASA's Pluto-bound New Horizons spacecraft through the Jupiter system earlier this year provided a bird's-eye view of a dynamic planet that has changed since the last close-up looks by NASA spacecraft.

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_MUt_0GQDX10/R6Hf05OUk6I/AAAAAAAAAAo/RDfyb9zMD0w/s320/192015main_100907_11-250px.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5161652747750380450" />

And finally...
